It can’t be much less than it wasn’t.

 

whatever, we love each other still.

notwithstanding all our trysts and transgressions

 

condemned to live

with the conflicts and the treasons

 

that are part of life, at the same time as

we grasp for a way to move beyond them

 

knowing that, however difficult, this is our destiny

as we embrace yet again.
