The Woman Eating my Food

Mädchen-Bildnis, Karl-Schmidt Rottluff, 1915

Buchheim Museum der Fantasie, Buchheim

The woman eating my food

is not in the mood
for the delights of the flesh

The woman in my heart
does not want to be the part
of me I want her to be

The woman at my table
makes me feel unable
to rise to the occasion

The woman across from me
will never know what it is to be
alone

The woman in my bed
is not in my head
nor in my soul
